Lake Galilee is located in Hardy, Arkansas, right outside Cherokee Village. Jonesboro is under 75 miles away for the perfect day trip.

This beautiful county has a population of under 17,500 people and is located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains.

There are a few smaller airfields closer to Lake Galilee, but the closest major airport is Arkansas International and is just over two hours away. Urgent care can be found at WRMC Medical Complex Cherokee Village, 10 minutes away.

Groceries and snacks can be found at Harps Food Stores, less than four miles away. Locals recommend restaurants such as Carol’s Lakeview Restaurant, Chow On The Square, Pill Box Cafe, and Smokin’ Rick’s BBQ.

At six acres, Lake Galilee is free from the noisy watercraft often found on larger lakes. Anglers can expect to find rainbow trout, striped bass, black drum, and black crappie.

Explore Jonesboro

In Jonesboro, nature-lovers can go for an afternoon drive across Crowley's Ridge Parkway. This is one of Arkansas’ scenic byways and was designated a national scenic byway in 1998.

The Crowley Ridge Nature Center rests atop the unique Mississippi Delta. It includes both indoor and outdoor exhibits within a 17,033-square-foot, three-story facility, 5.5-acre prairie, 2.5-acre pond, and 100 acres of woodlands.

Football fans will find a warm welcome at Arkansas State University, home of the Red Wolves at Centennial Bank Stadium. The Red Wolves compete in the Sun Belt Conference.

If football isn’t your forte, check out the Flower Performing Arts Center, an entertainment venue with a 975-seat concert hall and a 344-seat drama theater.

Explore Nature

Be sure to visit Mammoth Spring State Park, one of the world’s largest with over nine million gallons of water flowing through it per hour. This park also features a museum and gift shop.
